$150 per 500 words (a typical half-page newspaper article is comprised of about 500 words; a full page consists of about 1,000). This includes phone, email and/or in-person interviews with one to six sources, depending upon the article size. Author byline must appear with article.

$48 per hour, across the board. This includes getting to know my clients' work, values, company cultures, histories and/or other elements essential to creating clear, effective and motivating messaging.

Media-Relations Services
Press release development and distribution:
$296 includes up to two pages of professionally crafted information, tailored to the purpose and goals of the individual release, with personalized, targeted distribution to up to 10 media outlets (print and/or broadcast). Clients own the releases and are free to continue distribution to additional outlets and post them on their websites for the value inherent in fresh content and increased search-engine optimization.
Smaller releases, such as event calendar listings and brief business notices, are billed at $48 per hour.

Website design/building:
Prices start at $850 for a professional, search-engine- and mobile-optimized website that's easy for a site owner to manage without me (no recurring developer fees). I establish the sites and associated items within accounts registered to my clients,* for the ultimate in full site ownership and control, and then turn the keys over to them. I'm available at an hourly rate for assistance outside of clients' time or knowledge limits. Simple, highly effective, affordable. That's how I like to roll.
*Separate account-related fees apply for website-hosting platform (generally less than $8 per month) and domain-name registration (about $11 per year). These are paid directly to the providers/registrars; I do not "broker" these services or collect additional fees of my own.
