As a professional writer and a member of the media, I know what members of your target audience--including journalists looking to interview sources with your expertise--really think of poorly written website, blog and commercial content. In fact, a good percentage of prospective clients/customers will leave your website or reject your marketing messages immediately if they spot even some of the most common errors in grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation. If you're like me, you love Weebly--the originator of the DIY/consumer website platform and the best one around, in my opinion*. But times have changed since you built your site. Themes and features have been added and improved; new third-party tools have emerged; and even website-development markup language has evolved to HTML5, meaning that some common practices of only two years ago are now deprecated. And there's always the issue of not knowing what you don't know. In other words, it's possible that when you built your site, you weren't aware of the importance of certain design elements or on-page and back-end SEO boosters such as HTML page title tags, meta descriptions, H1 and H2 headings and alt text (just to name a few)--or how to implement them properly and effectively. Perhaps you built your site on another popular platform and realized you were in over your head with too many options and not enough knowledge--and not enough time to spend gaining the knowledge needed to implement all the options.
