Nora Firestone quote:
Tip of the Day

Revise Your Copy for Clarity, Flow and Brevity

By Nora Firestone
12/26/2014
Nora Firestone's tip of the day: Good writers choose each word with care and revise for clarity, flow and brevity.
Great writing looks easy. That's because it's easy on the eyes and ears of an audience. But it takes a dedicated writer to whip it into that shape, much like it can take an experienced landscape designer to create a lush, alluring garden that flows with and enhances the natural surroundings.

Always proofread your work before it goes public or to a publisher. Clarify anything ambiguous or inarticulate, and cut redundant or otherwise unnecessary words to reduce word count.
