The importance of good photography has dramatically increased as websites, social media, publishing and media-relations savvy have evolved to essential tools in business, marketing and public relations. Do things correctly from the start and you’ll be more effective, more visible, taken more seriously and primed for limitless opportunities.
On Saturday, July 29, two local experts will deliver a well-organized creative-intellectual brain dump packed with professional insights, knowledge and inspiration during a full-day, detailed lecture-workshop covering the whats, whys and how-tos of effective, purposeful picture taking and use.
Led by award-winning professional photojournalist Harry Gerwien and professional writer/journalist, Weebly website specialist and media-relations coach Nora Firestone, this invaluable six-hour workshop will feature in-depth discussions on the inspiration, purposes and methods behind:
  • Capturing impactful images for business and organization storytelling.
  • Size, file-type and resolution details.
  • Website- and SEO-specific elements.
  • Photography how-to.basics.
  • Professional PR and media-relations/outreach insights.
  • Tips for shooting purposeful images that business people, authors, entrepreneurs, organizers and others can use in a variety of ways they may not have imagined.
  • Q&A and more.
Lunch included. Two attendees will also be selected to be photographed by Gerwien for demonstration and discussion. As a “Thank you” for modeling for the group, the subjects will each receive a free digital photo of him/herself to use for their own personal and/or professional endeavors.

Advance registration is required. Attendees are welcome but not required to bring their cameras.
When: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sat., July 29, 2017. Lunch will be served.
