I've written about the power of the virtue of gratitude for almost 10 years, and I've been observing and promoting the virtues of the true American principles that foster and facilitate the powers of creativity, innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship, compassion and humanitarianism through voluntary charity and more for decades.
This two-part series, airing Nov. 16 and 23, 2017, encourages us to explore and apply a deep sense of gratitude to our appreciation of true American virtues and principles and act to preserve, promote and perpetuate them however possible in the year ahead. The freedom to make our own decisions, design the courses of our own lives, choose our priorities and obligations according to our own values, and earn, save, spend, share and invest our money, time, energy and other resources as we see fit are all rights to be cherished, protected, preserved and promoted from generation to generation of freedom-loving individuals. Listen to Part One here now. Tune in to AM 1110, WKQA radio, on the air or online, from 1 - 2 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 23 for Part Two, pre-recorded with co-host Drew Nickell earlier in the week. Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments section below. Happy Thanksgiving, America!
Chief Gene Saunders, founder and CEO, tells what it has taken to launch, lead and operate Project Lifesaver International, one of the world's leading special-focus search-and-rescue initiatives. This comprehensive program for people prone to wandering due to cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's, autism, traumatic brain injury and others, has celebrated more than 3,000 successful missions in its 18-year history. But it hasn't been easy, especially amid naysayers, attempted sabotage and betrayals by trusted confidants. What does it take to sustain one's belief in a mission and empower it to become a mainstay of widespread life-saving impact? Grit, heart, effective leadership, a great team and a bull-headed drive are just the start. Listen now.
