As frustrating as it is to have arrived at the point that presidential candidates are campaigning on the socialism platform and, worse yet, that so many American citizens are either ignorant or malevolent enough to help promote the so-called virtues of mandatory charity, social engineering and government control over your life, it's more important than ever to broaden the soap box and beat the drum louder. Here's another follow-up to Nora Firestone's longtime opposition to the growth of government and rise of socialism in America. I've written about the power of the virtue of gratitude for almost 10 years, and I've been observing and promoting the virtues of the true American principles that foster and facilitate the powers of creativity, innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship, compassion and humanitarianism through voluntary charity and more for decades.

This two-part series, airing Nov. 16 and 23, 2017, encourages us to explore and apply a deep sense of gratitude to our appreciation of true American virtues and principles and act to preserve, promote and perpetuate them however possible in the year ahead. The freedom to make our own decisions, design the courses of our own lives, choose our priorities and obligations according to our own values, and earn, save, spend, share and invest our money, time, energy and other resources as we see fit are all rights to be cherished, protected, preserved and promoted from generation to generation of freedom-loving individuals. Now a liberty-loving property-rights activist, Boneta also received a joint senate and House commendation from the Virginia General Assembly for outstanding service to the state and nation and was named one of the nation’s “50 Most Amazing Women” by Country Woman magazine.
